CEUs and PHDs Information
What are CEUs?
One Continuing Education unit (CEU) per the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is equal to 10 contact hours (a contact hour means not less than 50 minutes of specialized training) in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction.
What are PDHs?
One Professional Development Hour (PDH) is 1 hour of training for time spent in activities related to professional growth and development (a 1 to 1 ratio is used, 1.0 PDH for 1 hour of attendance).
How to Earn Continuing Education Credit (CEUs and/or PDHs)?
To receive the CEUs and/or PDHs from the conference the attendee must: 1- Express Interest to receive CEUs and/or PDHs, 2- Document Attendance, and 3- Request Certificate.
- Express Interest to Receive CEUs/PDHs: Upon arriving to the welcome desk on the site of the conference the attended must indicate his/her interest of receiving CEUs and PDHs.
- Document Attendance: In order to document attendance, the attendee must show his/her badge at to the room monitor upon entering and exiting the session. The attend must be present for a minimum of 90% of the time of the session to receive credit.
- Request Certificate: Within 90 days of the conference, the attendee must go to the web site and request the certificate using the exact name as shown on the conference badge. The web
Remark: It is the individual's responsibility to confirm that the workshop/session attended meets relevancy criteria and current rules established by your board for continuing education needs. It is also the individual's responsibility to apply to the licensing board in their state for continuing education approval.
