As president of this distinguished organization, an honor and privilege has been bestowed upon me. My theme for the year is “Victory in Unity”.  When you and I tie, we connect in whatever endeavor comes.  Connection throughout the state is the beginning of the year yet to come.

As the age old nursery rhyme states:  Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.  All the kings horses, And all the kings men, Could not put Humpty together again.  Because Humpty tried to hold the kingdom together by himself, his fall was great.  After his fall, the kings men united to restore Humpty and the kingdom to its former state of greatness, but the fall was too great and the kingdom couldn’t be restored.

The unity, the connection, the togetherness was needed prior to the fall.  Connection in advance is a force in the face of adversity or hardship.

As president, I stand as one of many.  My name is known as president, but everyone associated with this organization, whether they are known or unknown, is tied in conjunction with the president.  It cannot be done alone.  We are many members, but one body or organization, fitly joined together.

We are victorious as we unite in membership, activities, professionalism, ideas, fellowship, friendships, togetherness, varied opinions, and compromise.  As I embark on this great task as president of this wonderful organization, we, as Mississippi Educational Office Professionals, will accomplish all that is put before us, because we are one.
