Doctor of Philosophy Program Requirements

All students must successfully pass a comprehensive examination covering the core courses. Students must meet the general requirements set forth by the Office of Graduate Studies. The following are additional requirements:

1. Arrange for a graduate advisor by the end of the second semester;
   
2. Gain approval of a written prospectus from the doctoral advisory committee by the end of the fourth semester;
3. Pass the comprehensive examination by the end of the sixth semester;
