The Department of Mathematics is housed within the College of Science and Technology (CoST). The Department is also involved with the Department of Computer Science, and the Department of Physics through the Computational Sciences Program, which continues to extensively diversify itself, recognizing the need to more fully integrate computational science at USM into all aspects of ongoing teaching and research, and the need to incorporate a broader base into the constitution of the Program.

We are providing links to the College of Science and Technology, which has been the mainstay of the science and technology on the Hattiesburg Campus. The Link to the Graduate School is important for students, as their admittance, progress, and graduation from the Program are governed in large part by the rules and requirements of the Graduate School.
