RSS News Feed Information

The Department has implemented an RSS feed to provide information for faculty, students and staff concerning timely events and Departmental news. To access the RSS feed, drag the The RSS link icon, or the icon in the url bar to your news reader, or copy the url of the RSS icon page, i.e., http://www.math.usm.edu/mathnews.rss to your news reader's 'Add a News Feed' input box.

In order to use this service you must have an RSS version 0.91 news reader, e.g., Liferea in Linux, Google Reader, or NewzCrawler in Windows.

If you have no news reader installed, and are already using gmail, you may find it convenient to use Google for your news reader. To add this service go to http://www.google.com/reader/ and sign up. You can check your mail and your new service feeds at the same source.

Alternatively, if you do not wish to use, are have no access to an RSS News reader, you can now access the contents of the News Feed online at our web page

http://www.math.usm.edu/rss2html.php

The page is automatically refreshed, so that you can view the latest announcements and be aware of Departmental News, including upcoming seminars, colloquia, meetings, and news of interest to students regarding academic matters and opportunities. Quick access to this page is also listed at the bottom of our Home page under the heading Department News and on every page in the right toolbar on the icon marked News.
