 Faculty Searches New Open Positions for 2008 The Department of Mathematics is continuing in its effort to strengthen core disciplines, and we are maintaining our progress toward building our doctoral program in applied and computational mathematics. Searches are being conducted for the following positions:
Information about the Department Further information about the Department of Mathematics can be obtained from our Departmental Brochure and by viewing further details located on this web site. The Department of Mathematics at The University of Southern Mississippi is structured to provide a comprehensive range of teaching ranging from remedial and introductory general mathematics, to supporting our undergraduate and graduate programs. With the introduction of the doctoral degree in applied and computational science, obtained through the College of Science and Technology's Computational Sciences Program, the Department is faced with the challenge of improving the quality of our graduate curriculum in applied mathematics. We are interested in developing a faculty who can develop and grow our programs in this area, as well as contribute to the mission of the Department in supporting education at all levels.
