In order to promote
the exchange of ideas and information in the area of animal
migration, we
encourage you to search our data archive of bird migration
banding station data. Below is a summary table of
data collection at our bird banding stations for all years.
Normal banding protocols
include data on species, age, sex, mass, unflattened wing
chord,
subcutaneous fat score (Helms
and Drury 1960),
and time of capture of individual birds. In addition to standardized
protocol, other kinds of data have been collected depending
on questions being pursued, including muscle score, blood,
feathers, and fecal samples. Datasets are available in Excel
spreadsheet format for all sites and years indicated below.
