Expectations

Program participants are expected to attend all workshops and seminars, including daily GRE prep, in the scholar's first summer of research. Participants are expected to be dedicated, serious, and committed, which includes being active in professional associations and academic honor societies. All scholars are required to participate in summer research internships. While an intern, the participant is mentored by a faculty researcher and graduate assistant. Internship results in a completed scholarly research paper and formal academic presentation at the annual USM McNair symposium.
