Services

The McNair Scholars Program provides year-round services in several categories to prepare participants for acceptance into quality graduate programs:

• Guided and mentored study in the student's field resulting in a significant research paper and presentation at the year-end McNair Scholars Symposium
• Workshops and seminars on such topics as financial aid, research skills, technical writing, and the graduate school admission process
• Paid research stipend and GRE fee waivers
• Funded university credit hours for the McNair Program summer research project
• In-depth, daily preparation for the Graduate Record Exam in the first summer of research
• Opportunities to visit graduate campuses and present at national research conferences
