PROJECT ASSESSMENT CRITERIA GUIDELINES

The Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) program was developed by the National Science Foundation to enhance and promote the already high quality research and education programs of individual and group investigators that cannot be supported otherwise. This program is an enhancement and achievement award that promotes new ideas and facilitates inter-disciplinary collaborations, thus leading to new scientific discoveries and resulting in recognizable outcomes positively affecting societal needs. While the Assessment Criteria (AC) and Project Status Report (PRS) forms will serve for internal evaluation purposes of projects supported by the Center, the general guidelines for MRSEC can be found on the NSF Web site http://www.nsf.gov.
