CYBER RESEARCH COMPETITION

WHAT?
The Materials Research Science & Engineering Center (MRSEC)
Shared Facilities at The University of Southern Mississippi is hosting
an Undergraduate/Graduate Research Competition (UGRC) for the
development, testing and implementation of a remote access system
to state-of-the-art instrumentation.

* The contest is open to all level students and not limited to Southern Miss Students.

WHO?
You are invited to form a team that should consist of software and hardware experts. Each team should compose a detailed plan which will be submitted to a panel of experts for review.

WHY?
The panel will evaluate each team and select the winning proposal. The winning team will receive $3,000 cash and a one-year job contract to develop and implement the proposed idea.

WHEN?
The deadline for the proposals is Oct. 1, 2007
The completion of the project will be Aug. 30, 2008


* All necessary technical aspects of the project will be provided.
