The Southern Miss Gulf Coast Civic Chorale will perform, “Rock and Roll of the 1970s,” at two concerts in the Fleming Education Center auditorium at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. The concerts will be held Friday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 12, at 3 p.m.
With the 1970s being a great time in the history of pop music, the Southern Miss Gulf Coast Civic Chorale invites everyone to celebrate rocking music from throughout the decade. The concert will feature the chorale, small groups and solo performances.
Both concerts are free and open to the public. Celebrating its 18th year at Southern Miss, the chorale serves as a community outreach program welcoming members of all ages throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast. More than 80 members sing in the ensemble, which is led by John Flanery, assistant choral director at Southern Miss.
