The University of Southern Mississippiis in the process of conducting a nationwide search for a dean to take the helm of its College of Arts and Letters.

Dr. Denise von Herrmann, who became dean in July 2008 after having served as interim dean for 18 months, has accepted the position of Provost at Oglethorpe Universityin Atlanta, Ga. Her last day with Southern Miss will be June 30.

South Mississippi musicians will showcase their talents at Roots Reunion, a live radio show, from 7- 9 p.m. Saturday, April 16 in Hattiesburg’s Historic Saenger Theatre.
