Registration for Sea Camp, the popular marine science day camp for ages 6-13, has been extended through June 3. The focus of this year’s camp, now in its 24th consecutive year, is threatened and endangered marine species.

The University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles baseball team takes on Conference USA rival Rice University at home this week in a three-game series that will decide the league’s regular season championship. Southern Miss currently holds a one-game lead over the Owls.

 

The teams will meet today at 6 p.m., Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. at Pete Taylor Park on the Hattiesburg campus. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network on Comcast Cable channel 735 (digital) and channel 393 (high definition) and will feature a tribute to former head baseball coach C.J. “Pete” Taylor, the park’s namesake, who died Sunday. The team’s seniors will be honored at Saturday’s game.
