Thirty high school student presentations will highlight the annual Statewide Business Plan Competition set for Monday, May 9 at the University of Southern Mississippi’s Trent Lott National Center for Excellence in Economic Development and Entrepreneurship.

Members of a newly formed campus organization at The University of Southern Mississippi are taking an active role in helping those victimized by last month’s deadly tornadoes in Alabama.

Dr. Steven Moser, senior associate dean in The University of Southern Mississippi College of Arts and Letters, has been appointed interim dean of the college beginning July 1, while the university conducts a national search to fill the position permanently. He will replace Dr. Denise von Herrmann, who is leaving to become provost at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Ga.

On the heels of an exciting season of thrilling performances, The University of Southern Mississippi Department of Theatre and Dance will return to a repertory format for the 35^th season of Southern Arena Theatre June 23-July 17.
