The Southern Entrepreneurship Program (SEP) is set to commence its fifth successive year in Mississippi high schools with a student symposium on Thursday, Sept. 29 at the Ronald E. Whitehead Advanced Technology Center on the campus of Jones County Junior College.

A University of Southern Mississippi professor and his students hope their inventory of trees on the Hattiesburg campus will reveal their full environmental and economic value and be a key resource for their management and preservation.

LONG BEACH, Miss. – The Gulf Coast Library at The University of Southern Mississippi will present two free community workshops Sept. 21-22 in the library room 213 on the Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. These one-hour sessions are part of the library’s “60 Minutes to Success” initiative.

Thanks to the generosity of two Hattiesburg area restaurants, Thursdays have become special days for The Children’s Center for Communication and Development at The University of Southern Mississippi.
