Russ Willis has announced that he will be transitioning from the position of Vice President for Administrative Affairs at The University of Southern Mississippi to a role with the University Foundation, effective Feb. 1. Chad Driskell, Executive Assistant to the President for External Affairs, will replace him on an interim basis, while Willis will join the staff of the USM Foundation as Assistant Director for Fundraising Initiatives and Planned Giving.

Despite statistics that continue to show Mississippi failing in vital public health categories, educators at The University of Southern Mississippi remain undaunted in their efforts to reverse the dismal trend.

The University of Southern Mississippi’s Department of Psychology continues to boast a 100 percent passing rate for its graduate counseling psychology students who take the National Counselor Exam (NCE). Graduates of the program last year and in recent years not only passed the exam, but exceeded the national passing rate average.
