Dr. Charles G. Marx, professor of audiology in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at The University of Southern Mississippi, was recently chosen as the 2011 recipient of the Mississippi Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Mississippi Clinical Achievement Award.

The Jack and Patti Phillips Workplace Learning and Performance Institute at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast will host a complimentary breakfast featuring Dr. Rebecca Ray, senior vice president of human capital at The Conference Board and leader of the Human Capital Practice, Thursday, March 15 from 7:45 – 9:30 a.m. at the Great Southern Club, located atop the Hancock Bank building in downtown Gulfport.

referee for the 22nd annual Delta Tau Delta Cystic Fibrosis Sports Challenge and 2012 Great Strides Walk.

The Southern Miss Gulf Coast Civic Chorale will present “The Music of Mack Wilberg” in two upcoming concerts on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Dr. Wilberg serves as the current conductor for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Each year, hundreds of students from across the Mississippi Gulf Coast gear up for their schools’ annual science fairs in hopes of earning the opportunity to showcase their project at the Region VI Mississippi Science and Engineering Fair. The regional fair involves months of planning and leading this charge is University of Southern Mississippi Interim Chief Information Officer David Sliman.
