The Mississippi Museum of Art will launch an exhibition today of nearly 80 original Curious George drawings today with a special preview party at 6 p.m. at the museum, , located at 380 South Lamar Street in Jackson. Titled “Curious George Saves the Day: The Art of Margret and H.A. Rey,” the exhibition includes items from the H.A. and Margret Rey papers held at The University of Southern Mississippi’s de Grummond Children’s Literature Collection.

Lilianna Deveneau of Hattiesburg, a junior majoring in sociology and French, is one of only three students from Mississippi named a finalist this year.
