Four outreach/awareness sessions on employment for youth and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities will be held on the Mississippi Gulf Coast on May 7-8. All sessions will be held at the Technology Learning Center on The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus at 730 East Beach Boulevard in Long Beach.

The University of Southern Mississippi will host its inaugural farmers’ market from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, May 7 on the lawn of the Baptist Student Union. Plans call for the farmers’ market to be held every Monday through the end of October.

The Frances A. Karnes Center for Gifted Studies at The University of Southern Mississippi has extended the application deadline for its Summer Program for Academically Talented Youth, set for July 1-20. Registration will continue until available spaces are filled.
