Labat Project on Display at MGCCC Jackson County Campus Library

The Katrina Research Center at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast, along with the Mississippi Humanities Council and Gulf Coast artist Lori K. Gordon, announce the latest exhibition of The Labat Project at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jackson County Campus Library. It is currently on display at the library through July 31.

Hydrographic Science Center Director appointed to NOAA Advisory Committee

Ken Barbor, director of the Hydrographic Science Research Center in The University of Southern Mississippi Department of Marine Science, has been appointed by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) administrator Dr. Jane Lubchenco to serve on the Hydrographic Service Review Panel.

More than 230 rising high school seniors from across the state will be on The University of Southern Mississippi Hattiesburg campus June 3-9 for American Legion Auxiliary Girls State, a program designed to help young women learn more about American government and politics.
