The University of Southern Mississippi will welcome film and television actor and author Rick Lenz as part of the Honors Forum series Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. The event, hosted by the College of Arts and Letters and Honors College, will be held in room 103 of the Trent Lott Center on the Hattiesburg campus.

For Cleother Clayborne and Zack Pittman, two student-veterans on The University of Southern Mississippi’s Hattiesburg campus, helping other soldiers navigate college —and, specifically, college writing — is a given.  When an opportunity arose to work with soldiers in an English 101 class offered by the University at Camp Shelby, they were ready to serve.

Dr. Bill Holcomb will serve as the new director of Athletic Training Education Program in the School of Human Performance and Recreation in the College of Health at The University of Southern Mississippi.
