The Gulf Coast Cultural Arts Committee at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast is sponsoring a Lunch and Learn presentation focusing on an art rescue of the works of late Bay St. Louis artist Laurent Smith. The presentation will be held Thursday, March 21 from 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the university’s Katrina Research Center, located on the third floor of the Gulf Coast Library.

The University of Southern Mississippi Wind Ensemble will present a concert of student concerto winners Thursday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Bennett Auditorium on the Hattiesburg campus. Featured on the program from left to right are Garrick Pitts, clarinet, from Fort Worth, Texas; Andrea Silverio, oboe, from Sao Paulo, Brazil; J. Cam Roberts, (BME), percussion, from Lucedale, Miss; Grant Futch, trombone from Lilburn, Georgia; and Jacob Wisdom, euphonium, from Pensacola, Fla. The concert is free and the public is invited.
