For the third consecutive year, a portion of the proceeds from the Spraberry-Schankin Memorial Trout Tournament has been donated to the University of Southern Mississippi’s Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) to support fisheries research.

Because of inclement weather expected for the Hattiesburg area today, the exhibit opening for "Pictures that Made a Difference:  The Civil Rights Movement," a rare set of photographs by Charles Moore, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. in College Hall room 104 on The University of Southern Mississippi Hattiesburg campus. It will be on display in College Hall  until Sept. 15.

University of Southern Mississippi operations on the Hattiesburg campus will close at 12:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 29)  as a result of anticipated severe weather conditions in the Pine Belt this afternoon. Operations at the Southern Miss Gulf Park campus and additional locations will continue as regularly scheduled.
