A Hattiesburg restaurant is providing support to The University of Southern Mississippi Pride of Mississippi Marching Band for its scheduled trip to New York in November to participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Pancho’s Mexican Buffet, owned by Southern Miss School of Music alumnus Doug Broome, will donate 10 percent of its profits from sales every Tuesday evening from 4-9 p.m. in support of the band’s trip. Pancho’s is located at 4400 Hardy St. in the Westwood Square Shopping Center.

The Pride of Mississippi, one of only 11 marching bands from across the country invited to participate in the parade, will be joined by the Dixie Darlings and viewed by a television audience estimated at 47 million. For information on how to support the Pride of Mississippi Marching Band, contact the Southern Miss School of Music at 601.266.5543; online, visit
