The University of Southern Mississippi Police Department advises the campus community to exercise extreme caution today and tommorrow as a severe weather system makes its way through the state, which is expected to include strong thunderstorms and possibly tornadic activity, straight-line winds and large hail. As a precaution, vehicles parked in areas of the Hattiesburg campus that are susceptible to flash flooding should be moved.
