Crenshaw Serves as Facilitator for International Professional Standards Institute

Dr. Chris Crenshaw, director of the Department of Residence Life at The University of Southern Mississippi, recently served as a facilitator for the Association of College and University Housing Officers’ International Professional Standards Institute.

At the conference, held at Texas State University in San Marcos, Crenshaw led a group of six housing professionals in the review and application of the group’s professional standards.

Crenshaw has been a member of the Southern Miss staff for 18-years, all with its Division of Student Affairs, serving as director of Residence Life since 2005. He holds a doctorate in higher education administration from Southern Miss and serves as associate graduate faculty for the program. Crenshaw is also an instructor for the university’s Leadership Scholars class.

He is president of the Mississippi Association of Housing Officers (MAHO) and chairman of next year’s regional conference for the Southeast Association of Housing Officers (SEAHO).
