WHAT: University of Southern Mississippi Tourism Management students compete for the best tourism plan with their presentations to coast industry leaders
WHERE: Ballroom D at the IP Casino, Resort and Spa in Biloxi
WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 11, 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
SPECIFICS: At the beginning of the fall semester, two groups of students were given the challenge of developing a tourism plan involving both the Mississippi Gulf Coast and casino marketing. Over several months, the students have met with industry leaders and presentation professionals to develop a realistic tourism plan to be judged by various industry leaders from across the Gulf Coast.
The two groups will each make a professional presentation and take questions from both the audience and industry leaders. Following the presentations, the industry leaders will decide which tourism plan wins the competition.
