Restoration and expansion work on The University of Southern Mississippiís Ogletree Alumni House is nearing completion.

Alumni Association staff prepared this week to move back into the facility, which is named for the late Powell Ogletree, longtime director of the Alumni Association. The more than $4 million project expanded the size of the existing structure from 6,500 square feet to almost 12,800 and restored it to its original glory. One of the first campus buildings, it served for many years as the presidentís home.

A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the reopening will be held Sept. 11 at 9:30 a.m.
