The University of Southern Mississippi was recently awarded a $476,486 Emergency Management for Higher Education (EMHE) grant through the U.S. Department of Education. Southern Miss is among 13 recipients nationwide to receive the grant to enhance its emergency management plan to prevent and respond to campus violence and natural disasters.
