HATTIESBURG
, Miss.  Seymour’s Food Court, a popular University of Southern Mississippi eatery, will feature a new look and a new tenant in time for the beginning of the fall 2009 semester.

Located in the R.C. Cook University Union, Seymour’s will feature an expanded, full service Chick-fil-A and a new Subway restaurant, featuring sub sandwiches and salads from the popular national chain, including its $5 footlong special. Diners will also find a freshly repainted facility with booth seating and flat screen televisions, with the entire serving area moved forward to face directly into the dining room.

“Chick-fil-A and Subway customers will be able to pay when they order so they won’t have to stand in two separate lines to get their meal,” said Michael Brown, marketing director for Eagle Dining.

The facility has been closed this summer for the renovation work and will reopen Aug. 17. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Seymour’s will also be open on Saturdays for special events, such as home football games.

The Power House restaurant has also been updated and will reopen Aug. 13, featuring hot and cold grab-and-go items and five cash registers for speedier service.  “These changes will allow customers who enjoy dining in to get their orders more quickly, and also allows people just looking to grab lunch a chance to enjoy the Power House,” Brown said.
