Southern Miss' Hughes Completes Leadership Training Course PDF Print E-mail

Brian Hughes of Natchez, a junior biology major and Army ROTC cadet at The University of Southern Mississippi, recently completed the Leaderís Training Course (LTC) at Fort Knox, Ky.

The LTC is a four-week course that covers the basic military skills for cadets that builds both self-confidence and unit esprit-de-corps using adventure training exercises and basic level military skills training. Cadets learn the value of teamwork and how to be an effective small team leader. LTC instills a personal ethos of physical fitness which is the cornerstone of stamina, endurance and good health.

Hughes is the son of Albert Hughes Jr. and Sophronia Hughes.
