Newt Gingrich, former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, center, took time to sign his new book and pose for photographs Jan. 22 during his visit to an event at The University of Southern Mississippi. Gingrich was the invited guest of the local chapter of First Priority, a Christian youth organization, for a reception and dinner held at the university’s Thad Cochran Center in Hattiesburg.
