Dakota Brock, 11, of Seminary, checks his supplies with speech language pathologist Lindsey Davis on the first day of classes, Aug. 5, at the University of Southern Mississippi’s DuBard School for Language Disorders. A total of 79 children, ages 3-14, have enrolled for the 2009-10 school year. The DuBard School is designed to serve children with severe language-speech disorders, including deafness and hearing impairments as well as those with the written language disorder of dyslexia.
