Health Discussion for Women at Cook Library March 22 PDF Print E-mail

As part of The University of Southern Mississippi’s lineup of Women’s History Month activities, University Libraries and the University Committee on Services and Resources for Women (CSRW) will host a talk on women’s health March 22 from 5:30-7 p.m. in Cook Library, room 123.

Betty S. O’Brian, a traditional naturopath and owner of Infinity Health Center in Biloxi, Miss. will make a presentation at the event on her new book “Six Weeks to a Healthy Lifestyle." She is also the author of “Living Longer and Loving It,” “Causations: Using Sclerology to Clarify Iridology” and “Going Green…with Smoothies."

O’Brian, who holds undergraduate and master’s degrees in English from Southern Miss, is an iridologist, naturopathic physician and herbalist with degrees from the School of Natural Medicine in Boulder, Colo. and certified in raw foods and trained as a Living Foods Educator at Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico. She is also a certified master sclerologist and herbalist who studied with herbal movement pioneer Rosemary Gladstar.

This presentation is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided, and O’Brian will autograph copies of her new book. For more information, call 601.266.4249.
