Annual Girls State convention underway
: Events scheduled throughout each day.
WHERE: Various locations around campus.
EVENT: More than 200 young women from across the state have converged on the Southern Miss campus for 63rd session of Girls State. For information call 601-266-4499.

Summer Drumminí series underway
: Events scheduled throughout each day.
WHERE: Various locations around campus.
EVENT: The Marching Percussion Camp kicks off the first of four Summer Drumminí band camps hosted by the Southern Miss School of Music. For information contact Dr. John Wooton at 601-549-3775.


FestivalSouth begins in Hattiesburg
Events begin at various times.
WHERE: Events are scheduled at various venues.
EVENT: Southern Miss is partnering with the Hattiesburg Civic Chorus and Concert Association to present two full weeks of music, food and fun during the inaugural FestivalSouth event. For information call 601-296-7475.
