The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at The University of Southern Mississippi, located at 3601 Pearl St. in the Peck House on the west side of the Hattiesburg campus, will host a concert by renowned Scottish musician Brian McNeill Wednesday, April 21 at 6 p.m. General admission is $10; admission for OLLI and Celtic Heritage Society members and Southern Miss students with proper identification is $8.
McNeill’s 40 –year career as a performer, composer, producer, teacher, musical director, band leader, novelist and interpreter of Scotland’s storied history and culture has taken him around the globe in performances as a soloist and with groups such as Battlefield Band, which he founded in 1969, and Clan Alba.
OLLI provides an educational opportunity designed to meet the needs of mature adults age 50 and older who are interested in expanding their educational, cultural and recreational horizons through its college level, noncredit educational activities.
