he following events are being held at various locations in Hattiesburg and present both interview and photo opportunities for the media. MONDAY-THURSDAY, JUNE 21-24

Drum Major and Guard Camp underway
WHEN
: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day around campus.
WHERE: Fine Arts Building lawn on Hattiesburg campus.
EVENT: The camp is open to youth in grades 9-12 and will features students from Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana. For information call 601-266-4990.

MONDAY-THURSDAY, JUNE 21-24

Summer Seminar for band directors underway
WHEN
: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
WHERE: Performing Arts Center on Hattiesburg campus.
EVENT: This year’s workshop features Jerry Nowak, a longtime music educator/composer/conductor. Band directors from around the Southeast will participate. For information call 601-266-4990.

FRIDAY-SATURDAY, JUNE 25-26

Theatre Experience presents “Bedside Manor”
WHEN
: 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day.
WHERE: Woods Theatre in Theatre and Dance Building.
EVENT: The Midsummer Musical Theatre Experience presents the fun-filled musical “Welcome to Bedside Manor,” which is set in the wackiest hospital possible. For information call 601-266-6823.

ONGOING

Tana Hoban exhibit on display
WHEN
: 9 a.m-5 p.m. daily.
WHERE: Southern Miss Museum of Art.
EVENT: The exhibit is a retrospective of well-known author and photographer Tana Hoban, who published children’s literature from the 1940s until her death in 2006. For information call 601-296-7475.
