The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast, in partnership with Domino’s Pizza, is hosting a donation drive to assist with both short-term and long-term oil spill recovery efforts. The donation drive will be held 2–6 p.m. June 14–17 at the Fleming Education Center on the Southern Miss Gulf Park campus in Long Beach.
Items will be collected from the community and donated to local response organizations, oil spill volunteers and those who have been adversely impacted by the spill. Donations can include cotton or paper towels, spray bottles, masks, vinyl or nitrile gloves, trash bags, non-perishable food items, water, personal hygiene items, pillowcases, sheets, gauze, Gerber’s baby food, dry dog and cat food and canned cat food.
For each person who donates an item, Domino’s Pizza will give a voucher for a free order of Cinna Stix with any Domino’s Pizza purchase. For more information, contact Christy Elias at 228.865.4577.
