The University of Southern Mississippi’s Delta Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the National Health Preprofessional Honor Society, is accepting membership applications for fall.
Alpha Epsilon Delta is dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in pre-professional health scholarship, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary and others. The society welcomes all students engaged in the pursuit of a professional health care career. “AED offers pre-professional students opportunities to network with professionals and learn more about professional school admission requirements,” said LaTandra Cowan, Southern Miss pre-professional adviser. “Students also have opportunities to volunteer in the campus and community while learning how to be more competitive in their goal of acceptance to their professional school.” AED also offers opportunities for intellectual and professional development, provides a forum for students with common interests and extends a program of service to benefit the college/university community. It is affiliated with the American Association for the Advancement of Science and is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. For more information, contact Cowan at
