WHAT: The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast will host the first Southern Miss Jazz and Blues Festival
WHERE: Front lawn of the university’s Gulf Park campus in Long Beach
WHEN: Saturday, May 2, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
SPECIFICS: The lineup of performers includes the Steve Warren Band, The Jerry Ball Jazz and Blues Quintet, the Larry Panella Quartet and The Sauce Boss -- Bill Wharton and the Ingredients.
Arts and crafts vendors will be set up throughout the front lawn of the campus during the festival. Food vendors include the Shed BBQ and Port City Café.
Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Southern Miss Gulf Coast Student Government Association and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Youth Development Coalition, which provides an avenue to share resources, training and enhanced services for children in the community.
