Southern Miss Conference Addresses Aging Issues for Area Professionals PDF Print E-mail

Area health care professionals, social workers and students attended the 8th Annual Issues on Aging Conference Friday (Jan. 30) at The University of Southern Mississippi.


Pictured here is keynote speaker Dr. Corinne Rieder, executive director and treasurer of The John A. Harford Foundation. She presented "Who Will Care for You and Me? Transforming the Workforce and Service Delivery for America's Older Adults.”  Other topics addressed throughout the day by guest speakers included exercise and healthy aging, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease research, social security, end of life issues, and a special discussion with Mississippi Sen. Terry C. Burton on the latest legislation and call to action on aging issues in Mississippi.
