The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Office of University Communications received four professional awards at the 2010 Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM) Awards Banquet in Natchez, Miss.
The Southern Miss Gulf Coast Office of University Communications includes Shelia White, director of marketing and public relations; Judy Isbell, director of Web-based marketing; Charmaine Schmermund, public relations associate; and Francesca Linthicum, graphic designer and communication specialist.
Linthicum received the Award of Excellence in the potpourri category for the Southern Miss Gulf Coast “Holiday Greeting Card” entry.
In the category of public relations news release, Schmermund received a PRism Award for the entry “Southern Miss Student Battles Cancer, Pursues Degree.” Schmermund also received a second PRism Award, along with a Judge’s Choice Award, in the images category for the entry, “Technology Learning Center Ribbon Cutting Reception Photo.”
The PRAM PRism Award is given to exceptional work in its field and surpasses all other entries in that category and the Award of Excellence is given to work worthy of recognition. PRAM presents only two Judge’s Choice Awards each year for competition.
