The University of Southern Mississippi has expanded course offerings at its Gulf Coast Research Laboratory Teaching and Research Site in Ocean Springs by adding core classes for undergraduate students and additional graduate level classes for the fall 2009 semester.
"Southern Miss Gulf Coast is pleased to be able to expand its offerings at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory to better serve the educational needs of eastern Harrison County and Jackson County,” said Dr. Tom Lansford, academic dean for Southern Miss Gulf Coast. “We envision this as a first step to even greater availability of programs at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory Teaching and Research Site."
A total of 13 courses have been added. Some of the undergraduate core courses that will be offered include world geography, college algebra, comparative religion and English composition.
The Southern Miss Gulf Coast Research Laboratory is located at 703 East Beach Drive in Ocean Springs at the southern end of Halstead Road.
