The University of Southern Mississippi Museum of Art is hosting its summer exhibit, “Comic Strips and Children’s Books (and why not a Picasso?)” through Aug. 25, featuring a local collection of comics dating back to the early 20th century; children’s books from the university’s de Grummond Children’s Literature Collection; and selections from the museum’s permanent collection.

Southern Miss Museum of Art hours during the summer are Tuesday – Friday 12-5 pm.
Admission is free, and groups are welcome by appointment. For more information, call 601.266.5200 or 601.266.4972.
