O’KEEFE COMBINES MATHEMATICS AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL CERAMICS ON DISPLAY

HATTIESBURG – A graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi is proudly showing his work at the Gulf Park campus library.

Kevin O’Keefe completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in three-dimensional design in May 2005. His exhibit, titled “Innovation of History and Design,” is a new display on the coast. His aspiration is to achieve cohesion between three-dimensional forms and mathematical properties, which were used in 15th century masterpieces.

O’Keefe also studied at William Carey College and Mississippi College. He previously served as an instructor at Muddaughber’s camp for the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi.

The exhibit is on display now through Dec.16 during normal library hours. Admission is free.

For more information on the exhibit, contact the library at (228) 865-4510.
