Long Beach– Eleven
business students were honored recently at the Excellence in Business
awards lunch sponsored by The University of Southern Mississippi's
College of Business.
Sponsored by the ChevronTexaco
Pascagoula Refinery, the luncheon was held April 30 at the Southern
Miss Gulf Park campus in Long Beach.
The award recipients are listed
ChevronTexaco Senior Awards:
Robert Cross, a resident of Hattiesburg
and native of Hot Springs, Ark., received the Excellence in Management
Lori Deluca from Ocean Springs
received the Excellence in Business Administration Award.
Stephanie Nguyen from Ocean Springs
received the Excellence in Management Information Systems Award.
Rebecca Southern, a sophomore from
Gulfport, received the Munro Petroleum Excellence in Business Award.
Larisa Stull, a management major
from Gulfport, received the Sun Herald Scholarship in Business Administration
Van Nguyen, a senior from Biloxi,
received the Northrop Grumman Ship Scholarship in Management Information
Courtney Crawford of Bay St. Louis
received the Alexander, Van Loon, Sloan, Levens and Favre Outstanding
Senior in Accounting Award.
Rex Dean of Long Beach received
the Piltz, Williams, LaRosa and Company Outstanding Junior in Accounting
Karen Rutland, a graduate accounting
student from Biloxi, received the Mississippi Gulf Coast Society
of CPAs Scholarship Award.
Terry Stevenson of Gulfport received
the Rex Distributing Outstanding Senior in Tourism Management Award.
Ian Mylenbusch of Long Beach received
the SouthTrust Bank MBA Excellence Award.
The Excellence in Business Awards
is an annual event which recognizes the academic accomplishments
of undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Business
on the Gulf Coast.
