SOUTHERN MISS DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES CELEBRATES OUTSTANDING SENIORS

HATTIESBURG – The University of Southern Mississippi’s Department of Biological Sciences hosted a reception on May 11 to honor nine college seniors for their academic excellence.

During the celebration, the department also paid tribute to Janet and Richard Cooper, founders of the Southern Miss Marine Biology Douglas R. Cooper Scholarship. This year’s scholarship recipient is Melissa Gutierrez of Carierre, Miss.
