Released September 13, 2005

HATTIESBURG – Hurricane Katrina and the delay in The University of Southern Mississippi classes has forced the Department of Theatre and Dance to adjust its fall 2005 performance schedule.

The summer Southern Arena Theatre revival production of The Last Night of Ballyhoo has been canceled. Lou Rackoff, chair of the department, advises patrons who have already purchased tickets to exchange them for another 2005-2006 season production.

The first main stage production, Scapin, will have a full performance run but will open one week later than originally scheduled. Performances are now slated for Oct. 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 16 and 23 at 2 p.m. Again, patrons may change purchased tickets to accommodate the new production schedule.

All other performances included in the recently released season brochure will remain as scheduled.

For exchange or purchase of tickets, call the Southern Miss Ticket Office at (601) 266-5418 or 800-844-8425.
