Institute for Disability Studies to Hold Fair Housing Workshop in Natchez

Jackson—The Institute for Disability Studies (IDS) at the University of Southern Mississippi will hold a workshop on fair housing Tuesday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Senior Citizens Center at 800 Washington Street in Natchez.

Information will be provided on fair housing issues, questions or complaints. Grant programs for down payments for people with disabilities will be reviewed. The workshop is presented by IDS’ HousingSmart project, funded in part by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which works to ensure equal opportunities in housing and to increase home ownership for Mississippians with disabilities.
